I'm back!
Some updates on what I've been working on + new things to come.
It’s been a while since I’ve been active on my Substack. I genuinely have had some moments where I’ve began writing something for those that have subscribed but the words always trailed off or fell short of whatever I was trying to convey. I’ve never been much of a writer but that’s no excuse.
So I’ll take this chance to restructure this into a newsletter format. Giving you some insight into some new projects, insight into my personal life, some personal photos that don’t align with my brand or portfolio, and whatever else I care to share or promote here.
Here’s what the last couple months have looked like!
Let the Light Thru
In April I worked alongside, creative director, Rob Lewis on a project for AMEN AMEN titled “Let the Light Thru”. I was brought on to do the Lighting Design for the project. Our goal was to mimic the early dawn hours and progressively bring the lights to a look that represented daylight on the cyc-wall stage. In this setting the very talented musicians Roman Norfleet and Be Present Art Group would perform and move to the music of their culture while wearing garments designed by Jordan Jackson and Danielle McCoy of AMEN AMEN Studios.
The photos were shot mostly on film with a Nikon F4 and a Mamiya RB67. We kept the lenses to a 35mm and 50mm (full frame equivalent) focal lengths for continuity across the 35mm film and medium format films. Portra 400 and 800 films were both used on set as well.
Most of the photos were shot by Rob Lewis with myself on the second camera or a digital set up.
The Many Faces of Hasan
A few months ago Hasan Thomas and myself got together at my studio and had a great 4 hour catch up session. We discussed his web series Hasan Hates Portland (Created by Mischa Webley) and his career in acting moving forward.
After catching up scheduled a date to take some new headshots.
Shameless plug; to book a session with me inquire on my website.
No Kings Protest. Portland, OR.
June 14th, 2025
On this past Saturday, 2% of the American popular took part in the largest one-day protest in American history. I was on the streets in Portland, OR photographing the peaceful protest.

Alvord Desert Trip (this weekend!)
Kelsie, myself, and a group of friends will head off into the desert this weekend. I plan on bringing a camera (always) and documenting the fun times as we camp for three nights in the high desert and low desert of central and southeast Oregon.
I’m hoping I like the photos enough to post them here in my next one!
Thank you for reading and rocking with me. Keep in touch, say hi, catch you next time <3
